If you spend as much time scrolling through Instagram as I do, chances are you’ve seen someone claiming it’s ‘Pie Day’, with a photo of a bright pink box, some enviable beauty products, and #PostYourPie.
That’s Beauty Pie. A cult beauty membership club taking over the beauty industry – and with good reason.
With your monthly membership fee, you gain access to a range of high end products for a fraction of the high street retail price. By cutting out the middleman and getting rid of the fancy packaging (although they’ll still look great on your bathroom shelf), Beauty Pie is able to offer luxury products for less.
If you’re new to Beauty Pie, the unique way it works and the huge number of products available can feel a little overwhelming at first. In fact I had to read a few blogs about it before I signed up. So if you’re interested in learning more about the business taking Instagram by storm, here’s my run down of Beauty Pie – including the 5 best skin care products you can purchase.
How does Beauty Pie Membership work?
The Beauty Pie membership structure is pretty simple, but it wasn’t until I signed up and made an order that I really understood it. So before we dive into the products, I thought it would be best to give a quick explanation.
Your monthly membership fee equates to your monthly spending allowance. £5 membership is equal to a £50 spending limit, £10 is equal to £100, and £20 equal to £200. There’s also a £99 a year annual membership with a £100 monthly allowance.
The bit that took me a while to get my head around is that the spending allowance is created from the retail value of the products you order, not the price you will actually pay. So say you have a £100 spending allowance. The typical price of the Matte Future lipsticks is £20. With Beauty Pie you’ll pay £5 at the checkout, but £20 will come out of your spending limit. Leaving you with £80 for the rest of the month.
Are the Products worth the Membership Fee?
In short, yes. I pay £10 for my membership fee, and have found my £100 spending allowance is more than enough for me to get a range of products each month. Plus, if you don’t spend your monthly allowance, it will roll over to next month as long as you pay your £10 membership fee. So you can easily save up for
Beauty Pie: The Best Products to Order
I’ve been a Beauty Pie member for the last six months, as has my friend Kerry (@kerry_zoey). Both of us are now Beauty Pie converts, mostly because we’ve seen huge improvements in our skin since using their products.
Although we have ordered everything from makeup to haircare and even candles, between us we’ve tried the majority of their most popular skin care products. As such, we decided to narrow down our top 5 products to skin care alone – otherwise this would have been an impossible task.
Note: As an added bonus, all Beauty Pie products are vegan and cruelty free.
The Plantastic range is a cult favorite of Beauty Pie members. I will be honest and say I haven’t tried the moisture balm yet, but only because it’s so popular it’s been out of stock each time I’ve gone to order it. The balm has a luxurious gel-like feel to it, that is deeply moisturising and absorbs quickly. As a bonsu, it can be used to refresh the skin on your face, neck and hands, and a little product goes a long way.

Although I suffer from dry skin, every face oil I’ve ever tried has caused me to break out with prolonged use. I’ve been using this sleep oli every night for the past month, and apart from one or two hormonal spots, I haven’t suffered at all. I use a few drops over my serum at night, it absorbs right away and my skin feels super soft in the morning. It also smells divine, and makes me feel like I’m in a spa every evening.

I’ve been using this serum every morning and night after cleansing, underneath my moisturiser, and am in love with it. My skin is dry and often feels dehydrated, but this does a great job at revitalising my skin and keeping me from breaking out. Packed full of Vitamin C’s antioxidants to help regenerate damaged skin cells, a great product if you suffer from redness. Plus, the price point is incredible! Serums are definitely the go-to option if you’re looking to get the most from your membership.

Another favourite of Kerry’s, these ceramides capsules are the perfect choice to help repair your skin barrier, and actually generate a visible difference in the skin when used regularly. They work by supporting your skin’s natural Ceramide production, creating longer-lasting moisture and a glowy complexion. They’re also extremely effective at helping prevent break-outs on problem skin.
Typical Price: £50

I’ve suffered from dark circles under my eyes for as long as I can remember. I’ve never found an eye cream that works to make my eyes look brighter, that doesn’t contain some element of concealer – until now. I use it twice a day, but it sinks in quickly and doesn’t feel heavy on my skin. I still have dark shadows, but this has definitely helped to make the skin around my eyes look more refreshed and brighter under makeup.
