Hope you’re well and have all had a good week?
I’ve been busy beavering away on magazine deadlines this week, but we did manage to sneak off for another spontaneous trip back down to Devon to make the most of this gorgeous weather.
As I’ve mentioned, the ethos behind this blog is to champion the best businesses and products out there, so if you run a small biz or know of one that deserves a mention, please do let me know.
Now, without further ado, here’s this week’s “Save, Spend, Splurge”.
Ellie Joy Ceramics plant pot sign
Where to buy: Ellie Joy Ceramics
If you have a history of being a serial plant killer, like me, then this little plant pot sign from Ellie Joy Ceramics will be right up your street!
Ellie’s handmade ceramic business is another one of my lucky Instagram finds, and I’m so glad I came across her as her pieces are just gorgeous.
Her plant pot signs come in 10 different funny/tongue-in-cheek designs, but this “water me” sign doubles as a cute little accessory and a helpful reminder!
At £7.00, this is a bargain purchase that really helps to add some life and personality to your plants and pots.
As well as these gorgeous plant pot signs, Ellie has a HUGE range of beautiful ceramics, from jewellery dishes to mugs and tableware – be sure to check her out!
Jodie Fern Jewellery twisted gold-plated necklace
Where to buy: Jodie Fern Jewellery
My “spend” purchase this week goes to another beautiful handmade product – a twisted gold-plated necklace made by the totally lovely Jodie Blackwell.
Now, you probably can’t quite tell, but this necklace is actually a “second”, but when I saw it advertised, I had to buy it!
I’m a bit of a magpie, and an absolute sucker for anything shiny, but I particularly love bespoke and vintage pieces. So while this might not be “perfect”, it’s perfectly imperfect to me, and there’s something rather lovely about the fact there’s no one else in the world with the same necklace as me.
Based in Warwickshire, Jodie is not too far away from me, so it makes it extra lovely to be supporting a local business.
(She’s also an all-round lovely boss babe, with such a gorgeously effortless style, so what’s not to love?!)
William Wood Arabella vintage white arched window mirror
Where to buy: William Wood Mirrors
Of all the things I’ve been hunting for during our house renovation project, a mirror for the bottom of the stairway has been the thing I’ve struggled for the most.
You know when you’ve got a picture in your head of exactly what you’re looking for, but just can’t seem to find it? Well if it’s mirrors you’re stuck on, let me introduce you to William Wood Mirrors.
The Arabella mirror is precisely what I was looking for, and they have such a huge range of beautiful styles that they’re guaranteed to have what you’re looking for – saving you hours of frustratingly scrolling!
This is actually out of stock at the moment, so it’s on my wish list for pre-order, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about the product and the company, so I’m very excited to finally get my hands on this.
(If you’re sceptical about online shops, check out their Trustpilot reviews. With a score of 4.9 out of 5, it speaks for itself.)
While it’s a pricey purchase, the timeless style means this is a real statement piece which will always look great, whichever property you’re in.
