Hope you’re well and have all had a good week?
So, it’s Week 6 of the blog, and I think it’s time for a little change up…
My “Spend” category so far has been determined by a product over £100, but I’ve been finding SO many purchases in that £10-£100 market that I’m going to change my “Spend” to anything over £50 – hopefully that means I’ll get to showcase more of the fabulous brands and businesses out there!
Now, without further ado, here’s this week’s “Save, Spend, Splurge”.
TheDaisyDigital Mini Art Prints
Price: £6.00 for a set of 8
Where to buy: TheDaisyDigital – Etsy
Avid readers of the blog will know I featured Kelly – the boss babe behind the brand TheDaisyDigital – in week 1, but I’m so obsessed with her prints and designs that I had to share again!
I’ve been working on getting my office space “Gram-able” this week, and these gorgeous little mini prints are perfect for brightening up a plain/small space.
Pictured is a combination of the “Positive Motivational” set and the “Pastel Rainbow Botanical Plant” set (which was very kindly gifted to me) and I’ve teamed it with a rose gold memo board from Amazon to match the rest of the interior.
At £6.00 for a set of eight prints, this is a BARGAIN way of bringing a little life to some of the perhaps duller corners of your home!
Barrow & Field Yarlington sweatshirt in Dusky Pink
Where to buy: Barrow & Field
This week’s “Spend” is this gorgeous sweatshirt from new, small biz, Barrow & Field.
Now I know with the heatwave this week, there’s very few of you thinking about investing in a sweatshirt, but the reality is that the nights are drawing in, and soon the cooler weather will be here… which I must admit I’m kind of glad about after the 33 degrees we’ve experienced this week!
As sad as I’ll be to put away my summer dresses, this sweatshirt – pictured in dusky pink – is the perfect transitional piece as we head into the autumn months.
Headed up by an old friend from home, Becky Donald, Barrow & Field is a lifestyle and country clothing brand designed for comfort, practicality, and most importantly style.
I have a bit of thing for sweatshirts and can be a little bit fussy about their design, but the Yarlington is soft, comfy, washes well (such a mum thing to say, I know) and fits like an absolute dream.
I love supporting small businesses, but when the product is truly fab, and you’ve known the brains behind a brand for such a long time it makes it even more special!
You can shop via B&F’s website, but make sure you check them out on Instagram too to keep up with all the latest updates/new launches.
Charlotte Tilbury’s Prime, Set & Glow kit
Where to buy: Charlotte Tilbury
Anyone else struggling with keeping their make up on their face at the moment? 15 minutes in the heat this week and I look/feel like I’ve stuck my face in a chip pan – not the look I’m aiming for, unfortunately…
Getting summer make up to stay has been a challenge I’ve faced for years and in all honesty, I don’t think there’s any foundation on the market that’s up to it alone…
HOWEVER, I think I may have found a solution this week in the form of Charlotte Tilbury’s new Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray.
I’ve been using CT for a very long time (the foundation is unmatched, IMO), so I when I saw that the new setting spray promised to keep your makeup on your face for 16 hours, I had to try it, and it’s truly brilliant.
I put it to the ultimate test this week when I was stood in a shade-less field in 33 degree heat for four hours (the things I do for an article) and my make up didn’t budge an inch – obviously, I was a complete sweaty mess, but the main thing is that my face stayed put!
Bought together with the Wonder Glow primer (which is equally as gorgeous as the setting spray) as part of Charlotte’s Prime, Set & Glow kit, you actually save 5% too, because who doesn’t love a saving?!
My advice for application is to apply sparingly… I went a little OTT on first usage and ended up in a bit of a sticky mess!
