I think we all know by now how much I love a new skincare product. I love testing products, researching their ingredients and I love nothing more than talking about the results. Whether they’re good or bad.
More than anything I believe in complete transparency, I don’t say a product is good if it isn’t, or what’s worse if I’ve never actually tried it.
And that’s why I like to try products for at least 2-4 weeks to truly give an honest reflection on my findings.
Over the last couple of months, I have been lucky to have been gifted several products from Yeouth, and it has become one of my favourite skincare ranges.
Pioneered by owner and cosmetic chemist Kevin Mallory, Yeouth has been a vision of years’ worth of passion and dedication to creating high quality skincare products.
I’ve tested the following three products over the last 6 months and furthermore I have tried these products over different seasons (Spring, Summer and Autumn) and below are my findings.
Retinol Eye Cream
Retinol is a much-researched skincare ingredient and is known to be extremely effective when used regularly to transform the skin and its needs. It works by boosting collagen production and helps to even out skin tone. All this, as well as working hard to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, this product is a dream.
I have been using the Yeouth Retinol eye cream every evening since July and I have seen such an improvement in the fine lines around my eyes. Working hard to firm and hydrate the delicate area around the eyes is a tough job. Yet, this cream is lightweight and moisturising without irritating the eye area. It also contains our favourite from above Hyaluronic Acid and Green tea, which helps to repair damaged skin cells and renew the skins elasticity.
Retinol 2.5% Serum
Used before my moisturiser the last couple of weeks I have noticed a huge difference in the smoothness of my skin. Promising a more even skin tone, fewer breakouts and tighter pores, used daily this serum includes hyaluronic acid and vitamin e which is perfect for dry skin and helps to build a protective barrier for your skin.
It also contains aloe vera which I love as it soothes the skin on a daily basis.
Why should you use Retinol over a regular creams and serums?
The main reason being; retinol stimulates a quicker renewal of skin cells, so you will see improvement much quicker.
Pure Hyaluronic Acid
Having exploded onto the skincare scene this product has now developed a cult following.
So, what exactly is it?
When I first heard about this product, I immediately saw the word acid and thought I won’t want to try that!
However, Hyaluronic Acid is merely a carbohydrate molecule and a natural component of the skin and can withhold one thousand times its own weight in water. Essentially think of Hyaluronic acid as a huge glass of water but for your skin.
What does it do? And is it any good?
As we age, our skin loses a lot of its moisture, and can become drier, rougher and have an effect on the wrinkles we may or may not have already developed.
Adding an acid into your skincare regime can add much needed hydration and ultimately help to plump and firm the skin.
Used twice daily, I can already see the benefits of adding Hyaluronic Acid into my skincare.
Does it suit all skin types?
Yes, all skin types will see the benefits, but dry or dehydrated skin will see the most difference.
All of the products along with the rest of this range is available via the Yeouth website and Amazon.
Let me know if you try any and how you get on.
