You know those mornings that you just wake up and feel…’meh’? The ones where you somehow end up at work and you don’t remember anything about your drive in? Did I knock anyone down in the process? Who knows? Let’s just hope not.
Those mornings where you pull your clothes straight off the hanger, snapping them in the process just because of your own sheer laziness.
Well these four tips are for those days – those days where you need that extra motivation to get you through.
Wake up early
This may seem like a tough one, but even setting your alarm for ten minutes earlier will stop you from having to throw yourself out of bed, slap on your make up and trip over yourself trying to get out of the house on time. Learn to wake up more mindfully and you will be sure to see the benefits.
I’m not talking super extravagant, I’m talking a Starbucks (or whatever your favourite take-out coffee is)
I cannot tell you how much more of a nicer person I am when I have a coffee in me first thing – suddenly life is good. I have concluded that life is too short to not treat yourself to the things that can pick you up when you’re feeling a little flat.
Listen to your favourite song
Everyone has those songs that make you feel fabulous, the ones that give you the instant good feels, the ones that remind you of someone you love or a fantastic summer holiday. Turn that sh*t up loud in your car and sing your heart out (just maybe don’t have the windows down). I guarantee this will make you feel better.
Have a healthy breakfast
I am 100% one of those people who feels so much better in myself if I am eating well and drinking my 2 litres of water every day.
Everything feels better, my skin looks brighter, and I just feel more myself.
