Hope you’re well and have all had a good week?
I think I jinxed myself with an autumn-themed blog last week, as it’s been absolutely boiling ever since, but it’s September, so I’m going to continue embracing all things pumpkin-spiced for the foreseeable!
If I’m being completely honest, my most exciting purchase of the week has been a tumble dryer, but I don’t think there’s many of you that’ll be interested in that, so I’ve picked out a few must-haves instead – all from some gorgeous small businesses.
Now, without further ado, here’s this week’s “Save, Spend, Splurge”.
Glass & Wick Spiced Pumpkin Soy Wax Melts
Where to buy: Glass & Wick
Darker evenings mean fairy lights, candles and now, wax melts!
If you’re yet to jump on the wax melt trend, they’re a scrummy way of keeping your home smelling lovely – and often work out much cheaper and last longer than scented candles.
I recently discovered Glass & Wick, a gorgeous small business based in Nottinghamshire that specialise in luxury, hand-poured, natural wax products.
I saw on their stories this week that their autumn range contains a spiced pumpkin wax melt, so of course, I had to buy!
Priced at £3.95 for 10 melts (lasting approx 10 hours each), they’re an absolute bargain, and if you want to try before you buy, you can bag yourself a free pouch of melts when buying any burner – just use code “freemelts” at the checkout.
Constellations London 18ct gold plated chain necklace
Where to buy: Constellations London
Layered jewellery is one of my favourite trends at the moment, and I’ve talked before about spending a little bit more to ensure my purchases are sustainable and last longer. So adding to my carefully curated collection this week is this beautiful 18ct gold plated chain necklace from Constellations London.
I’ve been following the brand for a while on Instagram and what stands out the most for me is that by purchasing from them, not only do you get some gorgeous jewellery, but they also donate 5% from every sale to the When You Wish Upon A Star fund – a charity that grants the magical wishes of children aged 4-16 who live with a life-threatening illness.
How lovely is that?!
They have a gorgeous Instagram feed too, so make sure you check them out @constellationslondon
Salthouse England Floriana Saddle Bag in Noir
Where to buy: Salthouse England
This week’s “splurge” is on my wish list, but it’s so gorgeous that I just had to shout about it on the blog!
I first met Anna, the owner of Salthouse England, at a House 21 brunch back in March, but I’d actually started following her brand page on Instagram about two weeks beforehand so it was a rather surreal meeting, but wonderful to put a face to the brand.
If you look at Salthouse’s Instagram, you’d never guess the brand is under a year old, and that’s all credit to Anna’s background and her incredible ability to create some truly beautiful items!
The latest addition to the Salthouse collection is the Floriana – a luxury saddle bag made from gorgeous croc-embossed leather.
It has two, detachable straps – a short, thin one and a long adjustable one – meaning you can quickly switch up your outfit to take you from the office to drinks after work!
Price wise, it is a splurge, but the timeless, elegant style means it’s a true investment piece that’s guaranteed to become a staple accessory in your wardrobe.
Salthouse also has two other equally-gorgeous styles of bags – so make sure you check them out! @salthouseengland
