During the summer I was fed up of making myself ill with stress and worrying as it was making my life pretty miserable, so I decided to have a lifestyle change. I have taken up yoga, pilates, meditation and even changed my diet. This has all helped to get me into a much better state, mentally and physically.
I have always been somewhat interested in practising meditation, however I wanted to get better at it and to use it to understand myself better as meditation is a great way to help heal the wounds of the past and to help you develop yourself into a better version of you. I have often used YouTube for the tutorial videos as there is so much on there.
However, I was watching a YouTube video on confidence development and they recommended this mediation app which I did a free trial for. This was good and it was a good introduction to meditation, however, for the price of it after the trail, it was not worth it at all.
Especially when you can get a lot of meditation videos on YouTube for free which offer longer sessions than most apps. The videos on there are a lot more varied and you can use it just as well as the meditation apps. I unfortunately forgot to cancel my apps after the free trials and was shocked by the price they charged. I will not continue with them as they are very basic and the content on it is not worth the price, especially when you can get better quality for free.
I have tried other apps which have been better, yet I always find myself stopping using them and moving back to the ones online after a week or so. For beginners to meditation, I would recommend an app with short meditations and alerts as you will get your mind into a routine, yet for a deeper one I would suggest saving your money and looking one up online, specifically on YouTube.
Yet I am still open minded and if you have any good meditations apps that you would recommend, please do let me know.
