Ever since I can remember I’ve always been a city girl, I love my cosmopolitan lifestyle but when you have a lil dog to take care of and walk, trying to find routes that don’t consist of concrete jungles and the hustle and bustle of commuters it can get annoying at times.
This is why I almost thought I’d walked into Narnia when I stumbled across Belle Vue Park in Newport. It is a little oasis away from crazy city life. You’d never think this huge park was nestled between a hospital and an estate of new Redrow homes. It’s here that I spent my Saturday afternoon with Josie- Fina taking in all the beautiful little elements the park has to offer.
It’s also where I decided to share my usual dog walking attire, because let’s be honest, who can be bothered to dress to impress when you’re picking up dog poop and trying to keep your hat on your head in the midst of a storm.
I prefer to wear leggings rather this jeans, especially in winter as my lil spaniel loves a good run around in the mud then jumps on my legs rubbing all that mud onto my trousers. These ones are fleece lined on the inside and from New Look.
Another item for my dog walks on colder days is a fleece/ hoodie, as a coat just never seems enough for me. This one I got from Primark in one of my recent hauls.
The coat, one of my absolute faves, is from Zara and handily it comes with a detachable hood.
Shoe wise, I keep a pair of old Vans on hand for dry days, but on days where the heavens have opened up and left pools of puddles, my Hunter boots are ALWAYS my go-to.
